My heart is breaking! I didn't think they were going to make the lighthouse so accessible. It was so pristine before and the walking path was just fine. UGH! Progress. I am sure the locals are devastated, but I'm sure there are other places, that I have visited, that were altered in the name of tourism and the locals were devastated by that too. Yes, I was surprised the lighthouse was so short too. We came here on a Carnival cruise. Princess Cay is on the west side of the island. Disney is directly opposite on the east side. We booked a private tour to come here. It is my favorite island ever visited. The water/beach is incredible.

Nice of you to put on a brave face for this ride. Was there a reason it was so empty in the ride or park? The premise of the ride seems forced, as though there is no substance to the story. Lots of empty and dark passages. Sorry, Disney, I'll take a pass.

Yes there are lots of dark sections in this attraction where my GoPro skills are very lacking. Just let the video play, get a snack and come back in a minute or two. Hey, if I showed you everything then why would you need to go ride it yourself?!?

I’m 20 and am going on a regent cruise (will be 21). I think as long as you don’t expect waterslides (which I was on Disney and used it twice in a week period) or anything like that and you’re a sociable person (enjoy chatting) this is a great cruise line for you. I’ll follow up in February when I go. Older folks love chatting and have interesting stories most of the time

Back in the early 90s a couple had a replica of the Queen family truckster . I parked beside him a many car shows in my 62 Plymouth "My leave it to Beaver car." But anyway he had it totally decked out! He didn't over look any thing, right down to aunt Edna tide to the roof the period correct luggage, the correct Kleenex box on the dashboard. It was very movie correct. I met him about 2 years ago ask him if he still had the car, he said no. He replied people bugged him all the time about the car, didn't get a minutes peace when he went places in it. If I had it I couldn't get enough attention, it would be mind blowing! I just have settle for my 62 Plymouth signed by Jerry Mathers. But anyway you have a unique piece of automotive movie history, even though it wasn't in the movie. Mine wasn't either but who's to know, let's just have fun with it! Good video!!

Here in Central Connecticut the name 'Griswold' is huge. We've got a Griswold Ct, a Griswoldville, the Griswold Inn ( my favorite restuarant), just to name a few. Drive the Truckster up to Ct. and visit your heritage! Nice job on the car!

The original story that "Vacation" was based on, "Summer '58," was actually about a trip to Disneyland. They were going to do it for the movie but Disney refused as they insisted their parks would never close, hence the change to Walley World.
